Chester joined Chambers in 2022 after completing his pupillage with Mr Ambrose Ho SC, Mr Norman Nip SC, Mr Tony Li SC, and Mr Alan Ng. Prior to commencement of pupillage, Chester completed the Master of Laws with a focus on company and insolvency law at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Chester is developing a broad civil and criminal practice. He accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work with focuses on trusts, probate, company disputes, insolvency, land and matrimonial matters. He has been instructed by listed company and high net-worth private clients to advise and act on a range of disputes and various substantive applications including urgent injunctions and resisting security for costs application.
On the criminal side, Chester has experience ranging from white-collar crime to departmental summonses as well as violent crime, sexual offences, traffic offences, regulatory offences and drugs offences both in trials and appeals. Chester has conducted criminal trial as sole advocate and acted in Magistracy Appeal before the Court of First Instance.
He is also a part-time lecturer in law at the University of Hong Kong School of Professional and Continuing Education.
Chester is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, and can draft legal documents in Chinese.
